Mom don't make me pick up my clothes
My dad is never mean and I get what i want to eat
Just as long as I keep my door closed
Johnny wants to borrow my skateboard, oh, no, no
Susie need the scissors and glue
Mom and dad are lookin for something that I took
But nobody's gonna look in my room
I got a dragon in the closet
a serpent in the sink
A hungry tiger sleepin on my pillow, Yeow!
An alligator swamp that goes all around my bed
So I'm warning you!
Stay Out of My Room!
Summertime it sure can get muggy
the swamp and the flames
and my old smelly shoes
Brushin my teeth with a serpent in the sink
I guess I get my share of thrills
I got a dragon in the closet

Stay Out of My Room!
You won't much much imagination
when you're sleeping with a tiger and he GROWLS!
Those alligator teeth, they keep snappin at my feet
My dragon make the best Bar-ba-Que in town

Must be part of growing up
playing outside alone, I feel so alone
Everyone busy, got something to do
nothing on TV, older kids gone to school
I never noticed before
that girl down the block
next door, to next door to next door
Is that her ball in my yard
Maybe she might want to play
I made a new friend today - easy to laugh we had lots to say
thought I can't remember her name
tomorrow when I awake
maybe I can play with the friend that I made today
I got a swing in my yard
She's got a cat, maybe she'll bring him along
We can play up in my room
Pretend its a ship that we're takin up clear to the moon
I've got a secret to share
and if she's got one too,
we can whisper them both in our ear
The end of the day when it comes
we won't want to go home
I made a new friend today - easy to laugh we had lots to say

Guy Morris Kirkland, Washington
Guy's musical roots evolved from drum circles, street bands and a $10 Tijuana
guitar.
He served at the Cornerstone, a coffeehouse, serving free meals, singing three times a week.
During the 90's Guy was an offbeat worship leader at Hope Chapel in Venice, CA.
Guy once wrote for Disney Records honing his craft for the master mouse.
Guy now records at home just for the joy.
